Berlin Circa 2010

I was in Berlin in 1988, before the wall fell. I remember going from East Berlin to West Berlin, from the sad city to an amusements park. I remember the wall. It wasn't that big of a deal then, somehow I knew the wall wouldn't stand for long.

Berlin is a very different city today. Lots of kids. At the Helmut Newton's photography museum I read: "I never fell in love with countries, but always with cities. Paris. Berlin."
